Warm weather alters local schedule

Due to unseasonably warm temperatures, several area athletic contests were postponed due to the heat index rule Wednesday.

The Johnstown at Gloversville golf match was halted due to lightning and a heat index delay. No make-up date has been determined.

The Fonda-Fultonville golf team had its home match with Waterford-Halfmoon at Rolling Hills Country Club postponed with no make-up date determined.

The Amsterdam golf team had its home match with Bishop Gibbons postponed. The match was rescheduled for Sept. 19 at 4 p.m. at Amsterdam Municipal Golf Course.

The Northville at Mayfield boys soccer game was rained out and postponed to Sept. 26 at 7 p.m.

Also postponed was the Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville at Canajoharie boys soccer game. No make-up date has been determined.

The Northville-Mayfield golf team had its home match against Galway postponed to Sept. 23 at 4:30 p.m. at Sacandaga Golf Club.

Fort Plain had its boys soccer game at Saratoga Central Catholic postponed to Oct. 14 at 10 a.m.

The Dolgeville girls soccer team had its home game with West Canada Valley postponed to Oct. 11 at 4:30 p.m., while the Canajoharie girls soccer team had its home match with Galway moved to Oct. 18 at 4:30 p.m.

The Amsterdam girls tennis team had its match at Troy postponed to Sept. 19 at 4 p.m. The Johnstown girls tennis team had its home match with South Glens Falls moved to Sept. 19 at 4:30 p.m.
