Virginia R. Scribner Cosselman of Gloversville, passed away after a brief illness on September 4, 2013, with her loving family by her side.
She was pre-deceased by her mother, Nellie Scribner Nutting; and father, Glen R. Scribner; and most recently her nephew, Chad Scribner.
She is survived by her daughter, Tanya Cosselman LaVada (Tom) and her grandsons Cody LaVada and Tristan LaVada; also two sisters, Patricia Quick and Joyce Royal, both of Gloversville; and two brothers, Murrell "Butch" Scribner (Val) of Caroga Lake and Robert Scribner of Aurora, Missouri; and her longtime friend, Don Fox of Gloversville.
Virginia was a graduate of Wells Central School and of The Utica School of Beauty and Cosmetology. She was employed for many years as manager of Milt Schaber's Delicatessen and The Manor House Restaurant.
She loved spending time with her family and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and all of their activities. She also loved her favorite cat, Diva.
She will be missed by all of her family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at North Main Street United Methodist Church, 316 N. Main Street, Gloversville at 4 p.m. Saturday, September 14, 2013.
