Girls Soccer Roundup: Lady Bills roll past Gloversville

JOHNSTOWN - Morganne Dick finished with three goals and an assist to lead Johnstown to a 7-3 win over Gloversville in a Foothills Council girls soccer contest Friday at Johnstown High School.

Kendra McCoy scored twice for the Lady Bills, while Jordyn Hale had a goal and two assists.

Tatum Sardella also scored for Johnstown (3-3 overall, 2-2 Foothills), while Megan Anagnostopulos had two assists. Kaitlyn Pica added an assist for the Lady Bills.

Chanel Thomas scored all three goals for Gloversville (1-3 overall, 1-3 Foothills). Madison Fancher, Emma Botch and Amanda Bakyta each had an assist for the Lady Dragons.

Briana Esposito made 13 saves to earn the win in goal for Johnstown, which led 5-2 at halftime.

Emily Washburn finished with 14 saves for Gloversville, which is scheduled to travel to Scotia-Glenville on?Tuesday for a 4:30 p.m. contest.

Johnstown is slated to host South Glens Falls on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Broadalbin-Perth 7, Glens Falls 1

QUEENSBURY - Katie Herba finished with five goals and an assist, leading Broadalbin-Perth to a Foothills Council win over Glens Falls.

Kelly Makarowski and Katie Sala also scored for the Lady Patriots, who outshot Glens Falls 18-6.

Tatianna Ivery, Kylie Gifford, Danielle Biggers and Erica Kordyjak each had an assist for B-P (5-0 overall, 4-0 Foothills).

Meg Kanofsky scored the lone goal for Glens Falls (0-4 Foothills).

Rachel Orapello made four saves to earn the win in goal for the Lady Patriots.

Scotia-Glenville 2, South Glens Falls 1

SCOTIA - Dominique Puglisi and Maddy Carroll scored to lead Scotia-Glenville to a Foothills Council win over South Glens Falls.

Kelsey Martin and Alyssa Williams each had an assist for the Lady Tartans (3-1 Foothills).

Gabrielle Kreppein scored the lone goal for South Glens Falls (2-2 Foothills), while Lauren Vetter had an assist.

Carina Moran had four saves for Scotia-Glenville, while Elyse Green had seven saves for South Glens Falls.

Queensbury 13, Hudson Falls 0

HUDSON FALLS - Brittany LaPlant finished with nine goals and two assists, leading Queensbury to a lopsided Foothills Council win over Hudson Falls.

Claire Hubbs had a goal an assist for Queensbury (4-0 Foothills), while Emily Chester, Taylor Clarke and Tess Fagle also scored.

Midge Loiselle recorded three assists for the Lady Spartans, while Aleya Rodriguez had two assists.

Sarah O'Brien made just one save to earn the shutout win in goal for Queensbury.

Maddie DeRidder made 16 saves for Hudson Falls (0-4 Foothills).

WAC

Canajoharie 4, Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville 1

CANAJOHARIE - Jenelle Dillenbeck scored all four goals to lead Canajoharie to a win over Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville.

Jordyn Logan and Lauren Balfe each had an assist for the Lady Cougars, who improved to 2-1 overall and 2-0 in WAC play.

Addie Brundage scored the lone goal for Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville (2-2 overall, 2-2 WAC).

Balfe and Andrea Dingman combined to make three saves for Canajoharie, while Leann Clark made six stops for the Lady Wolves.

Duanesburg 4, Northville 0

DUANESBURG - Maeve McKeeby had two goals and an assist to lead Duanesburg to a Western Athletic Conference win over Northville.

Andrea Barton had a goal and an assist for the Eagles (1-1-1 overall, 1-1-1 WAC), while Elizabeth Schmidt also scored.

Devon Hennel and Kayla Smalls each had an assist for Duanesburg.

Nicole Cassale made 12 saves to post the shutout win in goal for the Eagles.

Mallory Hook made seven saves for Northville (1-3 overall, 1-3 WAC).

Berne-Knox-Westerlo 2, Sharon Springs 1

SHARON SPRINGS - Delaney Martin scored twice to lead Berne-Knox-Westerlo to a Western Athletic Conference win over Sharon Springs.

Rory Byrnes scored the lone goal for Sharon Springs.

Monique Britton made six saves for BKW, while Kara VanArsdal made 11 saves for Sharon Springs.

Mekeel Christian 4, Galway 2

SCOTIA - Macie Holmes scored twice to lead Mekeel Christian Academy to a win.

Lindsay McCarty also scored the the Lions, who also benefitted from a Galway own goal.

Molly Mancini scored both goals for Galway, while Erica Chase had an assist.

Rebekkah Dean made seven saves for Mekeel Christian, while Lindsey Naughton made seven saves for Galway.

Colonial Council

Ichabod Crane 10, Fonda-Fultonville 0

VALATIE - Mariela Jacome finished with three goals and an assist, leading Ichabod Crane to a shutout win over Fonda-Fultonville.

Jessica Mink and Jaycee Volkmann each had a goal and an assist for the Lady Riders, while Maria Carlucci, Megan Kirby, Jackie LaBounty, Hailey Pucket and Jenn VanAlphen also scored.

Caroline Halpin made just two saves to earn the shutout win in goal for Ichabod Crane.

Aleis Halpin and Ashley Hulbert combined to make 18 saves for Fonda-Fultonville (1-3 overall, 1-3 Colonial).
