Girls Soccer Roundup: Canajoharie rolls past Mayfield

CANAJOHARIE - Jenelle Dillenbeck scored three goals and had an assist to lead Canajoharie to a 9-0 win over Mayfield in a Western Athletic Conference girls soccer contest Wednesday.

Brianna Slater scored twice for the Lady Cougars, while Morgan Koelbl had a goal and an assist.

Dainara Veeder, Hannah Bowerman and Jordan Hammons also scored for Canajoharie, while Jordyn Logan and Paige Shovelton each had two assists.

Ariannah Logan and Morgan Gray each had an assist for the Lady Cougars.

Lauren Balfe and Andrea Dingman each made one save to share the shutout win in goal for Canajoharie (3-2 overall, 3-1 WAC).

Megan Frasier made 20 saves for Mayfield (0-4 overall, 0-4 WAC).

Northville 6, Sharon Springs 2

SHARON SPRINGS - Mary Ryan scored twice, leading Northville to a 6-2 win over Sharon Springs.

Taylor Fancher, Veronica Arceri, Tessa Hadland and Hannah Coupas also scored for the Lady Falcons, while Lyndsey Wadsworth added an assist.

Janel Cross and Renee Handy scored for Sharon Springs (1-2 overall, 1-2 WAC).

Mallory Hook made six saves for Northville (3-3 overall, 3-3 WAC). Kara VanArsdal made 14 stops for the Spartans.

Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville 4, Mekeel Christian 3 (OT)

SCOTIA - Jessica Hagadorn scored twice to lead Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville to an overtime win over Mekeel Christian Academy.

Rylie Smith and Abby Mosher also scored for the Lady Wolves.

Macie Holmes scored twice for Mekeel Christian (2-1-1 overall, 2-1-1 WAC), while Lindsay McCarty also scored.

Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville improved to 4-2 overall and 3-2 in WAC play.

Galway 5, Duanesburg 4

GALWAY - Erica Chase scored three goals to lead Galway to a win over Duanesburg.

Galway trailed 2-1 at the half before outscoring Duanesburg 4-2 in the second half.

Kayleigh Goergen and Felicia Snyder also scored for Galway.

Maeve McKeeby scored twice to lead Duanesburg, while Megan Wilkes and Devon Hennel also scored.

Lindsey Naughton made 16 saves for Galway, while Kasey Nelson stopped 13 shots for Duanesburg.

Middleburgh 5, Berne-Knox-Westerlo 0

MIDDLEBURGH - Amanda Roney scored three goals and had two assists as Middleburgh blanked Berne-Knox-Westerlo.

Aleesha LeRusic and Taylor Cater also scored for Middleburgh. Kira Morgan made eight saves to post the shutout win in goal for the Knights.
