September 26, 2013
The Leader Herald

JOHNSTOWN -A man was issued a ticket after an accident Monday that led to a tractor-trailer tipping over.

According to an accident report from the Fulton County Sheriff's Department, Paul Hisert, 60, of 33 Eaker Road, Fort Plain, was driving a tractor-trailer east down Route 29 for Ron Allen Trucking. The report said James Pitcher, 70, of 165 Bishop Road, Fort Johnson, was driving on County Highway 158.

According to the report, Pitcher turned his 2006 Nissan pickup truck left onto Route 29, forcing Hisert to turn left to try and avoid an accident. Hisert struck the front of Pitcher's vehicle, damaging it. Hisert lost control of his vehicle and it ran off the road, tipping over and spilling rock salt across the road. Both men suffered minor injuries.

Pitcher was issued a ticket for failure to yield.
