Girls Soccer Roundup: Lady Patriots rout Hudson Falls, 11-0

HUDSON FALLS - Katie Herba had two goals and an assist as Broadalbin-Perth rolled to an 11-0 win over Hudson Falls in a Foothills Council girls soccer contest Friday.

Lexi DeZolt scored twice for the Lady Patriots, while Danielle Biggers, Mackenzie Young and Connor Rebis each had a goal and two assists.

Kylie Gifford, Christa Decker, Danielle Landers and Kendrah Stewart also scored for B-P (11-1 overall, 9-1 Foothills).

Rachel Orapello made just one save to post the shutout win in goal for the Lady Patriots.

Maddie DeRidder made eight saves for Hudson Falls (0-10 Foothills).

Scotia-Glenville 3, Johnstown 0

SCOTIA - Grace Mailey scored twice and had an assist to lead Scotia-Glenville to a shutout win over Johnstown in a Foothills Council contest.

Maddy Carroll also scored for the Lady Tartans (7-3 Foothills), while Nicole Polsinelli had an assist.

Carina Moran made eight saves to post the shutout win in goal for Scotia-Glenville.

Briana Esposito made 13 saves for Johnstown (5-5-1 overall, 4-5-1 Foothills).

South Glens Falls 4, Gloversville 0

SOUTH GLENS FALLS - Gabby Kreppein finished with two goals, leading South Glens Falls to a shutout win over Gloversville in a Foothills Council contest.

Felicia Buser had a goal and an assist for the Bulldogs (7-4-1 overall, 5-4-1 Foothills), while Lauren Vetter also scored. Bryn McNeary and Shannon Curley each had an assist for South Glens Falls, which outshot Gloversville 25-5.

Elyse Green made five saves to post the shutout win in goal for South Glens Falls, which led 3-0 at the half.

Emily Washhburn made 17 saves for Gloversville (3-7 overall, 3-7 Foothills).

Queensbury 7, Glens Falls 0

QUEENSBURY - Brittany LaPlant scored six goals, lifting Queensbury to a shutout win over Glens Falls in a Foothills Council contest.

Taylor Clarke had a goal and an assist for the Spartans, while Claire Hubbs had three assists.

Rebecca Castonguay, Emily Chester and Lorissa Rodriguez each had an assist for Queensbury (10-0 Foothills).

Sarah O'Brien made four saves to earn the shutout win in goal for the Spartans.

Demi Vanderhyden made 10 stops for Glens Falls (1-9 Foothills).

WAC

Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville 3, Northville 1

BROADALBIN - Tabea Salzmann scored twice to lead Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville to a win over Northville in a Western Athletic Conference contest played at Broadalbin-Perth's Patriot Field.

Rylie Smith had a goal and an assist for the Lady Wolves (9-3-1 overall, 8-2 WAC).

Sarah Dickey scored the lone goal for Northville (5-7 overall, 5-5 WAC), which was outshot 14-7.

Leann Clark made six saves for Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville, while Taylor Fancher had 11 stops for Northville.

Schoharie 4, Fort Plain 0

SCHOHARIE - Caroline Krohn finished with two goals, lifting Schoharie to a win over Fort Plain.

Seana Cleveland had a goal and two assists for the Indians, while Kaitlyn Kendall also scored. McKenzie Phelan had two assists for Schoharie.

Sydney Stanley made two saves to post the shutout win in goal for the Indians.

Fort Plain slipped to 0-11-1 overall and 0-8-1 in WAC play.

Center State Conference

Frankfort-Schuyler 3, Dolgeville 2

FRANKFORT - Danielle Migliore had a goal and an assist, leading Frankfort-Schuyler to a win over Dolgeville on Thursday.

Alexis Bianchi and Simone Palumbo also scored for Frankfort-Schuyler (3-7-1 overall).

Sarah George scored both goals for Dolgeville (4-6-1 overall).

Cassandra Grippe made 14 saves for Frankfort-Schuyler, while Katie Millard made 12 stops for Dolgeville.
