Ricky A. Kadle, 52, of Mayfield, N.Y., passed away peacefully at Albany Medical Center following a long illness. Born in Gloversville, N.Y., he is the son of the late Ronald A. Kadle and Carol and William LaPorte of Mayfield.
Ricky enjoyed talking on the CB, his handle was the "Big Kahuna." He liked to play guitar and the drums. He listened to country music and music from the 80s that reminded him of his younger days. Ricky was a loving and genuine person, he was always trying to put a smile on some ones face or trying to make others laugh. He himself always had a smile on his face and was known by his big mouth!
Ricky last worked as a laborer in a microchip factory in Carlisle, Pa. He's been a resident of the Fulton Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing for just under a year due to his illness.
His loving family includes his mother, Carol A. LaPorte (William); daughter, Jamie Lynn Kadle of Schenectady; brother, Phillip Kadle of Mayfield; stepbrothers, Stacy and Billy LaPorte of Massena, N.Y.; a stepsister, Theresa LaPorte of Liverpool, N.Y.; grandmother, Dorothy M. Fancher and grandfather, Kenneth Williams, both of Mayfield. He is also survived by a special friend and caregiver, Mary Hudson; along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff at the Fulton Center for taking such good care of Ricky and putting up with his joking and big mouth!
