CANAJOHARIE - After going 8-0 in pool play, Galway went on to win the Western Athletic Conference Tournament title with a 2-0 win over Mayfield on Saturday at Canajoharie High School.
The Golden Eagles won by scores of 25-16 and 27-25 over the Lady Panthers.
Mayfield also went 8-0 in pool play and advanced to the title match with a 2-0 win over Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville by scores of 25-10 and 25-10.

Galway reached the final with a 2-0 win over Canajoharie by scores of 25-12 and 25-12.
Oppenheim-Ephratah finished second behind Galway in its pool with a 4-4 record, while Fort Plain and Duanesburg each went 3-5. Berne-Knox-Westerlo was fifth with a record of 2-6.
Canajoharie was second to Mayfield in its pooled with a 6-2 record. Schoharie and Saratoga Central Catholic each went 3-5, while Mekeel Christian Academy was fifth with an 0-8 record.
