Several area players were among those selected on the recently announced Western Athletic Conference boys soccer all-star team.
Northville senior goalkeeper Tim Monette was named the WAC North Division's Most Valuable Player. He also was named to the first team. Northville went 14-2-3 overall this season, reaching the Section II Class D championship game. The Falcons posted 12 shutouts this season.
Northville also had senior midfielder David Onzo, senior defender Nick Jonas, junior midfielder Wolfgang Reinke and senior midfielder Kalob Russell named North Division first-team all-stars. Onzo had 11 goals and five assists for the Falcons, while Russell had three goals and 12 assists. Reinke had eight goals and two assists for Northville.

Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville, which went 10-6-1 overall, had sophomore forward Devan Battisti and junior midfielder Johnny Vicciarelli named to the first team.
Battisti had 11 goals and seven assists this season, while Vicciarelli had four goals and three assists.
Mayfield junior forward Todd Briggs and senior midfielder Josh Ivancic also earned first-team honors. Briggs finished with 20 goals and three assists for the Panthers, who posted a 10-5-3 overall record this season. Ivancic had four goals and four assists for Mayfield.
Junior defender Kiernan Briggs also earned first-team honors for Fort Plain, which went 4-12 overall.
Also named to the North Division first team were Saratoga Catholic junior forward Liam Rice, Galway senior defender Brady Smith and Saratoga Catholic senior defender J.R. Hmura.
Mayfield senior goalkeeper Lucas VanNostrand, senior defender Jordan VanNostrand, junior midfielder Riley Yager and junior defender Bobby Gates all earned North Division second-team honors.
Canajoharie senior defender Mike Mazzarella and senior midfielder Logan Sala, Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville junior defender Joey D'Antonino, Fort Plain junior midfielder Aiden VanLoan and Northville senior forward Tyler Henderson also were named second-team North Division all-stars.
Also named to the North Division second team were Galway's Taylor Hartman, a sophomore midfielder, and Casey Mello, a senior midfielder.
Berne-Knox-Westerlo senior defender Maclin Norray was named the South Division's Most Valuable Player. He also was named a first-team all-star.
Berne-Knox-Westerlo also had five other players earn first-team honors.
Berne-Knox-Westerlo junior goalkeeper Trevor Haack, junior midfielder Nick Nagengast, senior midfielder Trevor Fairlee, junior defender Sam Abbott and senior defender Jimmy McGill all were named to the first team.
Schoharie had senior forwards Richie Martino and James Sacket, as well as senior midfielders Will Vedder and Chris O'Neil named to the first team.
Middleburgh senior midfielder Austin Roney and sophomore forward Brody Smith also earned first-team honors.
Also named to the South Division first team was Duanesburg senior forward Chris Small.
Schoharie had Justin Montione, Devon Brooks and Gavin Berdan named to the South Division second team.
Also earning South Division second-team honors were Duanesburg's Jason St. John, Middleburgh's Ryan Bechtold, Mekeel Christian Academy's Tyler Guido, Sharon Springs' Tyler Bianchine, Middleburgh's Jake Thorington, Middleburgh's Ryan Putman, Duanesburg's Mikkel Roade and Mekeel Christian's Gideon Armao.
