Panthers romp past Lady Dragons, 63-17

GLOVERSVILLE - The Albany Leadership Charter High School held the Gloversville girls scoreless in the opening period and cruised to a 63-17 non-league girls basketball victory Monday at Gloversville High School.

Seven players scored in the opening period with McKenna Lee Gordon scoring five of the Panthers' 20 first-quarter points.

Stacia Griesemer broke Gloversville's scoreless drought with two minutes left in the second period and finished with all four of the Lady Dragons' first-half points.

Griesemer finished the game with eight of Gloversville's 17 total points. Emily Washburn and Tecey Jimenez added three points apiece, while Emily Gifford had two and Natalie Kucel added one for the winless Lady Dragons.

Gordon finished with 13 points for Albany Leadership, while Tysheonna Gaddy and Zeairah Marable added seven points apiece.
