Girls Basketball Roundup: Lady Bills roll past Gloversville

JOHNSTOWN -Hope Cerasuolo finished with 12 points, leading Johnstown to a 54-18 victory over Gloversville in a Foothills Council girls basketball contest Friday at Johnstown High School.

The Lady Bills led 18-2 after one quarter and 31-5 at the half on their way to the victory.

Morgan Catania scored 11 points for the Lady Bills, who had 11 different players score. Alyssa Nellis added eight points for Johnstown.

Emily Washburn scored nine points to lead Gloversville (0-14 overall, 0-10 Foothills), while Stacia Griesemer added seven points. Angela DiMarco was the only other player to score for the Lady Dragons, as she finished with two points.

Johnstown (9-4 overall, 7-3 Foothills) will travel to Amsterdam today for a 5 p.m. non-league contest.

Gloversville (0-14 overall, 0-10 Foothills) will travel to Queensbury next Friday for a 7 p.m. contest.

Nicole Conley scored 11 points for Scotia-Glenville (10-4 overall, 6-4 Foothills).

Brianna Westfall scored six points to pace Broadalbin-Perth (4-10 overall, 2-8 Foothills).

Scotia-Glenville is scheduled to travel to South Glens Falls on Thursday for a 7 p.m. contest, while B-P is slated to travel to Glens Falls next Friday for a 7 p.m. game.

Teagan Clough led Watervliet with 20 points, while Kati Szczepanski had 16 and Brittanie Clickner and Arianna Dockstader contributed 13 points apiece.
