Anna I. VanWagner, 72, of Amsterdam passed away on Friday, April 18, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on March 3, 1942 in Schenectady. Anna was a homemaker who truly loved her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include two sons David (Debbie) LaPlant of Rexford and Daniel (Sue) LaPlant of Scotia; three daughters Patricia (Olin) Aney of Amsterdam, Pam (Jim) Dedrick of Lake Katrine and Sheila (Jeff) Perritt of Amsterdam; eleven grandchildren Shelby and John Aney, Daniel, Jr., Sara, David, Jr. and Michael LaPlant, Jeffrey, Jr., Crystal, Austin and Madison Perritt and Ashley Dedrick; two great grandchildren Gabriella LaPlant and Cassidy Aney, one sister Jean Mace of Rotterdam Junction and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Anna was predeceased by her husband Gary A. VanWagner who she married on April 16, 1983 and he passed on March 7, 2011 and ten siblings.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at the A.G. Cole Funeral Home, Inc. 215 East Main Street with Rev. Dr. R.W. Williams officiating.
Visitation for family and friends will be on Tuesday prior to the services from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Cremation will follow at the Vale Crematory, Schenectady.
