Michelle L. Goodrich, 55, of North Main Street, Gloversville, died Sunday morning, June 1, 2014, at home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Gloversville on May 27, 1959, a daughter of Stephen and Vivian LaVada Manzer and was educated in Mayfield. Michelle was a lifelong area resident.
Mrs. Goodrich was employed at one time for Coleco Industries in Mayfield and later at Somerset Industries in Johnstown. Most recently, Michelle was a home health aide at Pine View Commons in Johnstown and later provided private care in the area.
She enjoyed building doll houses and collecting the accessories to complete them. Her greatest delight was spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Luther "Joe" Goodrich Sr., whom she married on April 27, 1996; three sons, Luther J. (Rebecca) Goodrich Jr. of Northville, Joshua H. (Samantha) Goodrich and Matthew M. Goodrich, all of Gloversville; two daughters, Ami Goodrich (Fernando Valls) of Amsterdam and Lisa (Richard) Davis of Broadalbin; a brother, Stephen (Michelle) Manzer of Mayfield; seven sisters, Norma Buseck (David Hayes) , Vicki Manzer (Barry Tybor), Brenda Lavery, and Kerry Jo Manzer, all of Gloversville, Doralee (Jim) Schuyler of Broadalbin, Stacey (Harold) Anderson of Mayfield, and Stephanie (Rick) Achzet of Bleecker; seventeen grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Robert M. Halgas Funeral Home Inc., 111 County Highway 106 (Corner of Route 29 and Black Street) Johnstown, with Linda Eastman, trustee of Hemlock Independent Gospel Church. Calling hours will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville.
