CHEERS - To sharing a position. Fulton and Montgomery counties are considering consolidating their director of community services positions into one position, which would serve both counties. The change could save the counties more than $50,000. The counties' directors of community services work as liaisons between their counties and area counseling agencies such as Lexington Center, St. Mary's Healthcare and Catholic Charities. The two counties should approve the plan and look for more ways to consolidate jobs, services and equipment use.
