Apparently a few on here do not mind the idea of giving up their freedoms and would like to be controlled more and more. A very sad direction for our great nation to take.

I've told you before Rs, I'm a Constitutional Individualist, not a Republican which you know nothing about, obviously. In fact, you don't know much about anything do you. Take heart though, you still serve as a good example of a bad education and political indoctrination..****rade.

The tenets of both parties is to make sure their guy wins and the other guy is shown in the worst possible light. At this point the D's are a lot better at this than the R's. Neither side gives a rat's south end about me. Government's job is to provide what an individual cannot provide for themselves.

MrBob, if yuo read the archives here (if at all possible) you'll see I've accused you, ToT, and others of being fake Republicans since day 1.

Neither you nor them know wha real, true Republican tenets are.

Hey Rs, me calling you a fraud has really chapped your****huh? Now you try to emulate my opinion of you by using the old progressive tactic of accusing others of your exact behavior. If you really want to flatter me and ride my coattails repeat this one...We like freedom and privacy, we don't like anyone listening to our private conversations for ANY reason, it's called FREEDOM and LIBERTY. But then again, you wouldn't know much about that would you, being cooped up in your cellar and all...how unfortunate for you.

With Russia and China demanding answers to the intrusions into their countries communications, it is really great that Obama has that "flexibility" he was talking about before his reelection! Otherwise who knows what would happen! "Can you hear me yet?" The current question from the entire world to Obama! He can hear... but when will he begin to listen?

BEREAL64, not all Republicans agree with ToT because ToT is a fake Republican tea 'party' member who only clings onto the Republican Party for the publicity because they can't get the votes a real party can.

TiredOfTax, funny how passive-aggressive you and the fake Republican crowd can be.

In the case where the NSA has the mere ability to listen in on your calls and read emails but will more than likely NOT actually do it, your crowd goes ape bananas.

And yet the Patriot Act has the ability to do the exact same thing; but somehow THAT'S ok because it could never be applied to you, right?

Freedoms erode a little bit at a time to avoid conflict. Want to prevent terrorist attacks on the US? Get our noses out of everyone else's business!! Do not slowly and steadily erode the freedoms(in the name of the "greater good") that generations past have fought and died so that future generations may enjoy. There are many countries who are not targets of foreign terrorist.

Talking points from who bereal? I don't care who is talking, neither party can be trusted. These politicians have been given way to much power. Once in office they forget "For The People" but how do I get elected next time around! There is no media or polician that tells the truth!

The United States might have been able to prevent the deadly Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on New York and Washington had controversial National Security Agency surveillance practices been in place at the time, former Vice President Dick Cheney said Sunday.

And Sen. Lindsey Graham, S.C., a hawkish Republican who's vocally defended the NSA practices, suggested another attack is even made more likely if the monitoring is curtailed.

Apparently not all Republicans agree with you TOT? Maybe you are so obsessed with putting down the President that you forgot to read today's talking points.

True, that is what drives me today. I sat here listening to liberish for the 8 years of GWB. But never called them names like the progressives do today! But as far as getting the majority ever again... I fear it may be too late. The wanters out number the haves so the chances are slimmer than ever! I believe that it is checkmate, we lost! But I will still continue to rail against you winners!

Hill, how many people do we allow to be rolled over before we are allowed to react? One? One hundred? One hundred thousand? One million? When do we get to say that what you are doing is wrong and we want it to stop? How many? Is i in your best interest to sit and watch your friends get stomped? What is going on in our country right now is not right. Shall we wait for it to get worse? What if the next regime is against your guys?

That is a nice story there Hill... but you are talking about something that we can do nothing at all about. Our government is something that we are supposed to be able to have a word in on! We are supposed to be represented by people that we elect and when it is allowed to get out of hand... Obama happens! We cannot sit here and simply let things go that cannot be easily undone. I believe that it is our job to MAKE things the way we want and when it isn't it is time to speak. You call it chicken little I call it asking for change in the direction before it cannot be turned to head in the logical correct direction that benefits the many... not the elite select few.
