Mohawks get past Utica Blue Sox, 8-6

UTICA — The Amsterdam Mohawks rallied from a 6-2 deficit with three runs in the seventh and eighth innings to post an 8-6 victory over the Utica Blue Sox in a Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League contest at Murnane Field on Saturday.

Julian Gallup and Alex Kashgarian each had two hits for Amsterdam, while Eric Rivera and Kashgarian each had two RBIs.

Taylor Olmstead had three hits for Utica.

Amsterdam (4-1 overall) is scheduled to travel to Saugerties today for a 7 p.m. contest.

Utica (3-4 overall) is slated to host Jamestown today at 6:30 p.m.
