H.S. Softball Roundup: Dolgeville drops opener, 10-4

WEST WINFIELD — Madison Clark was 3-for-4 with a double and two runs scored to lead Mount Markham to a 10-4 victory over Dolgeville in a Center State Conference softball game Friday.

Clark also earned the win in the circle, allowing six hits, striking out 11 and walking five.

Shana Simmons was 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored for the Mustangs (3-2 overall), while Emma Kocienda had a triple and two RBIs. Layla Ali added a double and three RBIs for Mount Markham.

Breanna Potts had two singles for Dolgeville (0-1 overall), while Hannah Stack, Sandra Gonyea, Sam Weber and Audrey Williams all had singles.

Saratoga Catholic 12, Gloversville 0

GLOVERSVILLE — Molly O’Reilly pitched a no-hitter to lead Saratoga Central Catholic to a non-league victory over Gloversville at Gloversville High School on Thursday.

O’Reilly struck out three in five innings of work and also had a triple for Saratoga Catholic (1-2 overall).

Julia Murdick was 2-for-4 with two doubles and three RBIs for the Saints, while Megan Cornell was 2-for-4 with an RBI. Caileigh Sisk had a single and an RBI for Saratoga Catholic.
