The Fonda-Fultonville Central School District FFA will hold its first ever 5K race to raise money for the club’s competition trips. Bishop Emeritus Howard Hubbard, who guided the Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany for nearly four decades and came under fire in recent years for his handling of child sexual abuse cases, as well as abuse accusations made against him directly, died Saturday at Albany Medical Center.Hubbard, a Troy native, was known as a champion of social justice causes during his tenure leading his home diocese from 1977 to 2014. Gloversville Enlarged School District expands school day, earlier start times

GLOVERSVILLE - The Gloversville Enlarged School District has expanded the school day in an effort to help improve academic performance. Students in kindergarten through fifth grade will see their instructional day increase by 20 minutes, and those in sixth through twelfth grade by 16 minutes.
