A number of powerhouse teams have dropped down to join Canajoharie/Fort Plain in Section 2 Class D football this season, but it hasn't decreased the team's expectations under head coach Shannon Hyney, who is entering his eighth year leading the Cougars program.“We can’t have a week off,” Hyney said during his team's first day of preseason practice. “It’s a grind every week. FONDA-FULTONVILLE - Fonda-Fultonville senior two-sport star Jackson Cusack left his mark on the football gridiron and on the hardwood of the basketball court. During his senior football season, the Fonda-Fultonville quarterback led his team in rushing, passing, punt return yards, kick return yards, interceptions and was second in scoring. In the winter, Cusack led Fonda-Fultonville’s boys’ basketball team in scoring, rebounding, assists and steals, and was named to the Western Athletic Conference first-team all-league and on the New York State 10th-all-state squad.
