Fulton County Regional SPCA’s 11th annual Woofstock is this Saturday in Gloversville.
Woofstock is the SPCA’s largest fundraiser of the year, said its Board of Directors President Renee Earl. This year’s event will be from 1 to 6 p.m. at Concordia Singing Society, 138 Concordia Club Drive, in Gloversville.
Admission is $5 — cash only — or free for children 12 and under.
The day will offer food trucks, music from Fas4ward, vendors, dogs and more. This year, there is over 100 raffle baskets with a variety of items, such as children’s bicycles or household appliances
“Everyone can bring their family and their pet, and support the shelter,” Earl said. “There’s something for everyone. It should be a fun day for all.”
The event brought out about 400 patrons last year, according to Earl, and raised about $17,000.
“We are 100% donation-funded,” Earl said. “We do not receive any money from the state, the county, or from any national organizations, federal government. All of the proceeds we get are from fundraiser events. That’s how we keep the lights on, feed our animals, pay for vet bills.”
Woofstock will provided free parking available onsite at Concordia Club.
