GLOVERSVILLE – The Fulton County Federal Credit Union will open a new branch inside the new Walmart Supercenter.
Both are scheduled to open Wednesday.
“We are extremely excited about this convenient new full-service branch located inside the Walmart Supercenter. We look forward to providing cost-effective banking solutions and serving our existing members at this new location, as well as welcoming new members from the community,” said Fulton County Federal Credit Union President and CEO Timothy R. Myers in a news release.
Myers said the credit union donated the land, where the Supercenter now stands, to Walmart.
“The vision of the Board of Directors of the Credit Union back then continues to hold true today, for economic growth, financial stability and prosperity of the residents of the communities served. The development of the parcels of land will provide the stimulus for expansion and financial wellness for the community,” Myers said in the release.
The new branch will be opened during normal business hours from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Wednesday Thursday and Friday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
An ATM will be available outside the branch space in Walmart.
Membership in the credit union is open to anyone who lives, works, worships, volunteers or studies in Fulton, Montgomery and parts of Hamilton counties.
The credit union has been open since 1972.
