Dual ribbon cutting set for Thursday

GLOVERSVILLE — Micropolis Development Group and Triune Enterprises, in partnership with the Fulton County Center for Regional Growth, will be unveiling two of their new business ventures to the general public on Thursday, with a dual ribbon cutting event.

The Apothecary by Essentially Simple and AGORA Marketplace, located at 34 North Main St and 50 North Main St, respectively, are the latest ventures of the Gloversville-based community development group.

The Apothecary by Essentially Simple is Downtown Gloversville’s newest shopping and retail outlet specializing in hair, skin, body, and home goods.

Once open, shoppers will be able to enjoy a plethora of items targeted to enhance their holistic wellbeing including bulk herbs, essential oils, soaps, teas, gifts, and more.

The store also features one of the area’s first holistic beauty bulk bar for local hobbyists and do-it-yourselfers. The store’s products will also be exclusively provided by the Essentially Simple brand.

AGORA Marketplace is an indoor, year-round emporium boasting 22 booths where individual crafters, artisans, and vendors can market their products.

In addition to the individual-based vendor format, AGORA will also feature an art gallery and furniture showroom. AGORA will offer a wide variety of other items including gifts, vintage and antique pieces, and specialty crafts.

In addition to their retail space, AGORA will also be offering unique classes that will allow participants to hone in their creative skills through sewing, painting, pottery, and more.

The ribbon cutting will take place Thursday at 11 a.m. with light refreshments to follow.

Masks will be required and proper social distancing techniques will be enforced.
