GLOVERSVILLE – Mountain Valley Hospice and the Nancy Dowd Hospice Home received a donation of a wheelchair from Robert and Lorraine Bleyl and the Nick Stoner Senior Citizens Club in memory of Marilyn Goodwin, a news release said.
The wheelchair was presented by club members Grace Bevington-Eglin, Mary Riznyk, Shirley Holliday and Lorraine Bleyl.
“We are honored to accept this gift in memory of Marilyn,” said Cynthia Gates-Truax, marketing director, in the release. “We are grateful to the Nick Stoner Seniors Club and the Bleyl family for thinking of us and for their dedication to our community.”
A community-based, not-for-profit agency founded in 1988 and located at 108 Steele Ave., Mountain Valley Hospice seeks to make hospice care available to all appropriate patients and families in Fulton, Hamilton, Montgomery and Saratoga counties, the release said.
