Quilt square design event slated

FORT PLAIN — Sign makers who attended workshops conducted by Fulton-Montgomery Quilt Barn Trail founder Elizabeth Argotsinger at the Fort Plain Free Library last fall are invited to the 19 Willett St. library April 13 for the design process for quilt barn squares.

Argotsinger will be available during the open house from 5 to 7 p.m. to work with sign makers. She will share patterns and ideas, and look at attendees’ designs. Those present will leave with mock-ups of their own quilt block projects, and will be ready to move on to the construction phase, according to a news release.

Advance registration is required. This event is open only to those who participated in prior sessions.

People unable to attend last year’s sessions who are interested in making their own signage are asked to contact the library so a second series can be scheduled, a news release said.

For more information or to register, call the library at (518) 993-4646.
