‘Wonka Jr.’ opens Tuesday

JOHNSTOWN — Roald Dahl’s timeless story of the world-famous candy man, Willy Wonka, and her quest to find an heir comes to life in “Willy Wonka Jr.” this week at Fulton-Montgomery Community College on Tuesday at 7 p.m., Wednesday at 7 p.m., Thursday at 7 p.m., Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 2 p.m.

Based on the book “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” this musical stage version of Dahl’s “Willy Wonka Jr.” has lyrics and music by Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley. “Willy Wonka” is produced by special permission of Music Theatre International.
