WELLS — On Thursday, more than 30 veterans were honored at a breakfast sponsored by the Student Council at Wells Central School in Wells. There were cards and posters highlighting the day as well as several songs sung by the primary grade students thanking the veterans for their service to our country.
There was also a separate table with linens, place setting, candle and rose with a plaque remembering all MIAs and POWs.
It is hoped that this breakfast and honor to veterans will enable students to better understand the sacrifice given for our country. Veterans from the Korean War up to the present attended.
