MAYFIELD — “A Day in the Flower Garden: A Free Floral Arrangement Class” will be held on Monday from 10 a.m. to noon at Sacandaga Flowers and Events, 2424 Route 30.
The event is an opportunity for people with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias and their caregivers to work together under the instruction of a local florist to create a floral arrangement that they can take home with them.
Supplies, instructions and refreshments will be provided.

The event is sponsored by the Resource Center for Independent Living’s Amsterdam Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Initiative. RCIL is working to improve the lives of individuals with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias and their caregivers.
