Programming for The Glove

GLOVERSVILLE — The following are the Glove Performing Arts Center, 42 N. Main St., concert series.

∫ At 7:30 p.m. May 4: The Refrigerators are back again this year with a brass section. They have 20 years of experience and have performed. The pre-sale tickets are $12 online; and tickets are $15 at the door.

∫ At 7:30 p.m. May 5: FM-The Band. The band plays classic rock from the ’70s to early ’80s. The pre-sale tickets online are $8; and $10 at the door.

∫ At 7:30 p.m. May 18: “Starman” — the Bowie tribute — a tribute to Davie Bowie. A group of New Jersey’s musicians have formed a theatrical and musical tribute to David Bowie. The pre-sale tickets online are $23; tickets are $26 at the door.

∫ At 7 p.m. June 2: “Hey Jude” the Tribute Authentic Beatles Tribute Band is a fundraiser for the Glove Performing Arts Center in partnership with the Glove Cities Rotary Club of Gloversville. “Hey Jude” covers all the bases including the Beatles early pop favorites such as “Love Me Do,” “I Want to Hold Your Hand,” the popular and often requested, “Yellow Submarine.”

Attendees can expect authentic costumes and instruments. All dialogue in the show is designed to encourage the audience to sing, clap, and join in on hitting all the high notes. This show will have regular seating. Each portion of the production features each individual personality of John, Paul, George and Ringo. Admission: $20; $15 for seniors: $15. The doors open at 6:30 p.m. The concerts are in a club setting with refreshments — beer and wine are available for purchase, concession stand will also be open. Reserve tickets by calling (518) 773-8255, Ext. 25.
