ST. JOHNSVILLE — The Pi Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Honor Society for Women Educators is offering a $500 award for a senior girl or boy planning on entering the field of education.
Students from the following schools will be able to participate: Broadalbin-Perth Central, Fonda-Fultonville Central, Gloversville High, Canajoharie Central, Fort Plain Central, Johnstown High, Mayfield Central, Northville Central, Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville Central, according to a news release.
The student will be required to submit an application, high school transcript, letter of recommendation and a brief essay of career goals.
The entrants will be judged on the transcript, the letter of recommendation and the merit of the essay.
One recipient will be chosen.
All materials are due to the scholarship chairwoman by May 4.
