DOLGEVILLE — The following are the events for the annual violet festival scheduled for June 8 through 10.
∫ House decorating contest: An anonymous donor has donated $500 toward the house decorating contest. There will be four awards. The stipulation is as follows: The first and second place winners only, can’t have received awards for the same categories in the past — the first place winner wouldn’t be eligible to win an award if that same contestant won first prize at any time in the past. The same would be true of the second place winner. However, a first place winner could be a second place winner and vice versa. The third and fourth place winners would have no restrictions on winning based upon prior awards, according to a news release.
