Area students earn Oswego degrees

OSWEGO — The following students completed their baccalaureate studies at the State University of New York at Oswego in spring 2018 and were recognized during commencement in May.

Sebastian D. DeCrescenzo of Canajoharie, a bachelor’s degree in physics.

Jenna Kasza of Fonda, a bachelor’s degree in biology.

Logan Rowe of Gloversville, a bachelor’s degree in creative writing, summa cum laude.

Devin R. Salvione of Route 30, Gloversville, completed a bachelor’s degree in cinema and screen studies.

Jason Landl of Route 28, Inlet, a bachelor’s degree in business administration.

Winnie T. Blackwood of County Highway 156, Johnstown, a bachelor’s degree in journalism, magna cum laude.

A student who graduates with honors is indicated by the traditional Latin phrases summa cum laude, with highest honor (grade averages of 3.8 to 4.0); magna cum laude, with great honor (grade averages of 3.6 to 3.79); and cum laude, with honor (grade averages of 3.30 to 3.59).
