Local student named to college dean’s list

AMSTERDAM — Amea Hollingsworth-Hammonds of Amsterdam has been named to the fall dean’s list at Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania with a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher.

She is a member of the class of 2020 and has not declared a major.

Castleton University names dean’s list

CASTLETON, Vt. — The following students were named to the dean’s list for the fall semester of the 2018-19 academic year at Castleton University: Amanda Bakyta and Thomas Kirk, both of Gloversville.

To qualify for this academic honor, the student must maintain full-time status and a semester grade point average of 3.5.

Fonda-Fultonville grad makes dean’s list

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Meaghan MacDougall of Fonda, a media and communication studies major in the John Hazen White College of Arts and Sciences at Johnson & Wales University, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2018 term. To receive dean’s list commendation, students must earn a grade point average of 3.4 or above.

MacDougall, a first-year student, is the daughter of Sherri and Frank MacDougall and a 2018 graduate of Fonda-Fultonville High School.

Cortland student named to dean’s list

CORTLAND — Taylor Hill, the daughter of Dawn and Aaron Hill of Fort Plain, was named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at the State University of New York At Cortland.

Hill, a 2016 graduate of Johnstown High School, is majoring in physical education.

Local student placed on college dean’s list

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — January 25, 2019 — Johnson & Wales University (JWU) student, Lukas Levin of Johnstown, a graphic design major in the College of Engineering and Design, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2018 term. To receive dean’s list commendation, students must earn a grade point average of 3.4 or above. Levin, a junior, is the son of Lesa and Jim Levin and a 2016 graduate of Johnstown High School.

Rose named on Albany dean’s list

ALBANY — Veronica Rose Arceri, the daughter of Patrick and Vicki Arceri of Northville, was named to the dean’s list at Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences for the fall 2018 semester with a 3.9 GPA.

Arceri, a 2014 graduate of Northville Central School, is a member of Rho Chi, an honor society of pharmacists and is a residence assistant in the college’s dorm. She is in her fifth year of a six year doctorate of pharmacy degree at the college.
