Northville students chosen for Saturday music festival

NORTHVILLE — Students from Northville Central School have been chosen by the district’s band director Mike Graves and chorus director Kristy Matthews to participate in this year’s Fulton County Music Educators Association All-County Music Festival at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2, at Johnstown High School.

The annual FCMEA music festival brings together band and chorus students from several local school districts to rehearse and perform a combined concert featuring the most talented school-aged musicians in Fulton County.

Matthews selected Isabella Armstrong, Shyanna Kichton, Savannah Riggi, Evi Sevastakis, Jillian Simpson and Amy Williams to perform with the All-County middle school chorus.

Graves nominated band students from the elementary, middle and high school levels. Keira Mackey and Leah Valovic will represent Northville’s elementary band; Maeve Curley, Riley Henderson, Keaghan Henze and Ethan Spencer will perform with the All-County middle school band; and Avery Bradt, Daniella Brown, Caleb Clapper, Gavin Clute, Isabella Cox, Michael Dickey, Madeline Downing, Grace Forsey, Kaydince LaBrake, Alyssa Quillan, and Kaytelenn Van Heusen will all be part of the All-County high school band.
