FONDA — HFM BOCES Ag PTECH sophomore Loretta Newcomer, a Fonda-Fultonville Central School District student, has been selected as a national youth delegate to the 2019 Washington Youth Summit on the Environment at George Mason University just outside Washington, D.C., from June 23 to 28.
Newcomer will join a group of 300 students from across the country to participate in an intensive, weeklong study of leadership in environmental science and conservation. Newcomer was chosen based on academic accomplishments and a demonstrated interest and excellence in leadership in the sciences and conservation studies.
