Global Friendships, an organization in foreign exchange programs, has an urgent need to place a group of teenage students from Spain with host families in just 18 days in Fulton and Montgomery counties for 28 days this summer, according to a news release.
Area placement is being coordinated by Brandy Johns and Cassandra Landry.
According to the release, students come with their own spending money, medical insurance, can share a room with another teenager and are accompanied by a group chaperone. Potential host families, are permitted to choose the student they want to live with them, are subject to an interview by the local GF coordinator and must provide references. This procedure is set up to ensure the safety of the students coming from Spain. Ensuring the safety of the students is an integral part of the program. Most parents want to know that their child is going to a safe, loving and supportive environment.
