Department of transportation announces roadwork schedule

UTICA — The following is for the New York State Department of Transportation, Mohawk Valley Region, road work on today, according to a news release.

Montgomery County

∫ Town of Fort Hunter: Route 5S between Fort Hunter Road and Hill and Marks. The motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to paving operations.

∫ City of Amsterdam: Route 5/67 ramp to Route 30. The motorists will encounter a full ramp closure due to bridge deck repairs

Fulton County

∫ City of Johnstown: (D 263806) Route 30A between Briggs Street and Townsend Avenue. The motorists will encounter north and south bound lane closures with flaggers in place due to drainage work, and the installation of signal conduit and ped foundations.

∫ Town of Mayfield: (D 263942) Route 30 and Route 30A. The motorists will encounter lane closures in all directions at the intersection with flaggers in place due on site detour work.

Hamilton County

∫ Town of Inlet, hamlet of Blue Mountain Lake: (D 263869) Route 28 between Inlet and Blue Mountain Lake. The motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to, shoulder work, drainage operations and ditching.

∫ Town of Arietta: (D 263877) Route 8 between Old Piseco Road (Route 24) north and south. The motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with temporary signals at each bridge due to the rehabilitation of Route 8 bridge over Piseco Lake outlet, Route 8 bridge over Sheriff Lake outlet and Route 8 bridge over Rogers Brook.

The excavation work will be occurring in Hamilton. The motorists will encounter possible lane closures/lane shifts with flaggers in place.

The pavement striping will be occurring in Fulton and Montgomery counties. The lane shifts and flaggers may be encountered.
