Sisters of Holy Spirit hold meeting

GLOVERSVILLE — The Sisters of the Holy Spirit September meeting was called to order by Patty Franco; 30 people attended.

Barbara Rieth led in a decade of the rosary.

On Tuesday, Sept. 24, the interfaith tea will take place at the North Main Street United Methodist Church. The members were asked to signup for cookies and sandwiches and encouraged to attend the event.

Oct. 4 will be the rummage sale in the parish hall. The signup sheets for setup and cleanup were passed around.

The plans were made for a covered dish meeting supper to take place in October.

A motion was made by Maria Born and seconded by Ann Cook to donate $500 to faith formation to help cover the cost of three students attending a National Catholic Youth Conference.

Cindy Farley will put on an Italian dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Oct. 26, in the parish hall.

The refreshment committee consisted of Franco, Jean LaPorta, Rieth and Ann Masala.

Juana Addengfon, Terry Prumo’s mother, was a guest.

The 50-50 was won by Jamin Clement and Carol Brookins.

The next meeting will be the covered dish meeting supper at 6 p.m. Oct. 7.
