The Broadalbin Seniors met, at the Perthshire in Perth, on Oct. 13. At that time, they had their monthly collection for the Broadalbin Ecumenical Food Pantry. Plans were discussed for the collection of gift cards and gifts, for Christmas, for the Food Pantry and the children of veterans. The Christmas party will be Dec. 9 at noon, at the Perthshire. Following the meeting, Fulton County Sheriff Rich Giardino addressed the group.
The next meeting will be Oct. 27, at 11:00 AM and will be the annual Halloween party. Costumes are encouraged. Treats will be served.
Several members of the group left on Sunday the 17th for a week long trip to San Antonio. The next day trip will be Nov. 18, leaving from the Visitor Center at 9 a.m. to Destiny USA for shopping and then on to Beardsley Manor for dinner. The cost is $65 and is due at sign up.
Trips planned for next year include:
• March 4-12, Western Caribbean Cruise with Norwegian. Cabins start at $2,122 pp/dbl for an inside cabin. $350 is due at sign up.
• March 20-26, Savannah, Jekyll Island and Beaufort; $708 pp/dbl with $254 single supplement. $75 is due at sign up,
• April 10-12, Washington DC Cherry Blossom time. $445 pp/dbl with a $127 single supplement. $75 due at sign up.
• June 5-8, Ocean City, MD. $580 pp/dbl. $75 due at sign up.
• Aug 13-19, Canadian Rockies and Glacier National Park. $3,669 pp/dbl. $600 due at sign up.
• Sept 16-24, East Coast Cruise – Boston to Quebec. Starting at $1,878 pp/dbl for an outside cabin and $2,622 for a balcony. All are pp/dbl. $350 due at sign up.
• October 9-15, Branson, MO. $870 pp/dbl. $75 due at sign up.

Western Fulton County Seniors
The Western Fulton County Seniors met on Monday, October 11. There were 12 members present.
The meeting was then opened by President Angel Hill with the salute to the flag, and the Lord’s Prayer recited. In the absence of Secretary Karla Hoyt, the Secretary’s report was read by Barbara Kravec. The motion to accept the report as read was made by Linda Christman and Marty Nemecek seconded it. The motion was passed. The Treasurer’s report was read by Linda Christman. Ed Zeitner made a motion to accept the Treasurer’s report as read, and Rose Nemecek seconded the motion.
Noted was a Christmas trip to the Log Cabin on December 7, with a cost of $59.00, due before November 19. Pickup for this trip will be at the Ephratah Firehouse on Route 10 at 8AM. Collections of non-perishable items for the Food Drive fundraiser can be brought to the Center at the November meeting. See Rose Nemecek for tickets to sell. Also noted was a Pet Food drive for the Ayres Animal Shelter, with donated food and toys, etc., to be collected at the Nov. 8 meeting.
Noted was the cancellation of our Bake Sale fundraiser November 2. Our annual Thanksgiving luncheon will be held at the next meeting on Nov. 8. Ed Zeitner and Pete Stearns are contributing the turkey, and various members will bring menu offerings.
It is necessary to replace or repair the ramp to our building, and Angel Hill will obtain estimates thereof, to be again discussed at the November meeting.
Ed Zeitner offered to take over the Vice-President 2022 opening, and Angel Hill has offered to continue the Presidency.
Birthday wishes were given to the October members.
Members were reminded of the regular Bingo games to be held at the Center on Oct. 25, with pot-luck following.
The winner of the two raffles was Marty Nemecek, and Angel Hill won the 50-50 raffle. Marty Nemecek made a motion to adjourn the meeting with Rebecca Dobrin seconding. The meeting was adjourned at 2:00 PM.
