JOHNSTOWN – The Family Counseling Center of Fulton & Montgomery Counties and the Cerrone Memorial Foundation are teaming up for “Winter Warmth, an Evening of Expression” on Feb. 14 at Fox Run Golf Club.
According to a news release, the event’s goal is to raise awareness about how the community can help thwart violence and abuse.
There are many local programs that help support women, children and men who are affected by violence everyday, and this event is specifically designed to inspire hope and to participate in a global event called One Billion Rising, the release said.
The event will feature works from local artists including photographers, oil painters, water colorists and sculptors, who will display their work, as well as dancers, soloists and musicians who will perform, the release said.
Any artist wishing to perform or present is asked to contact Michael L. Countryman at the Family Counseling Center or Becky Freeman at [email protected].
The Family Counseling Center has a contact form on its website at www.thefamilycounselingcenter.org.
Rules for submission will be emailed, the release said.
All work will be considered and will be chosen by the committee.
There is no charge to the artist, but there is a limitation of space.
