BROADALBIN – The town tax collector will accept the January in-person payments of town and county taxes until 3 p.m. Thursday.
Payments that are mailed must be postmarked by Thursday, a news release said.
All payments received and postmarked after Thursday and until Feb. 28 will be subject to a 1 percent penalty.
All payments received and postmarked after Feb. 28 and until March 31 will be subject to a 2 percent penalty.
As of March 31, all unpaid tax bills will be turned over to the Fulton County Treasurer’s Office for collection.
