Police say city teen assaulted his mother

GLOVERSVILLE – City police arrested a local teen Feb. 8 on charges that he assaulted his mother and stole her cellphone.

Devin Jacksland, 17, of 69 E. Pine St., was charged at 12:30 p.m. Feb. 8 with third-degree assault and petit larceny, police said. Both charges are Class A?misdemeanors.

“Jacksland pushed his mother to the floor, causing injury to her hands, knees and ribs,” according to a news release from the city Police Department.

The incident took place at the teen’s residence, according to the report.

Jacksland was processed, arraigned in front of City Court Judge Traci DiMezza and released on his own recognizance.
