AMSTERDAM – State police said troopers arrested a Mohawk Dairy delivery driver Monday for taking money from his employer.
Louis A. Scott, 52, of Pattersonville was charged with one count of fourth-degree grand larceny, 14 counts of first-degree falsifying business records and 14 counts of second-degree forgery – all felonies.
Troopers said Scott is alleged to have taken more than $2,000 from August to November last year. Mohawk Dairy workers notified state police about the issue in January.
According to Trooper Mark Cepiel, Scott changed paperwork to make it appear he dropped off less milk than he truly delivered. Scott then handed in less money than he was given during the deliveries, Cepiel said, pocketing the remainder for himself.
Scott was issued appearance tickets for a later date.
