Woman not entitled to benefits: police

NORTHAMPTON – State police at Mayfield said troopers arrested a Northville woman Feb. 7 for receiving more than $9,000 in unemployment benefits she was not entitled to.

Patricia J. Morse, 52, was charged at 10:33 a.m. Feb 7. with first-degree falsifying business records and third-degree grand larceny.

Troopers said she collected about $9,213 in unemployment benefits by causing false entries to be made in official business records at the state Department of Labor.

Morse was arraigned at Town Court and was released on $1,000 bail. She is scheduled to appear in court today.
