Police: Man found on the ground

GLOVERSVILLE – City police said officers are investigating an incident that occurred Saturday at about 4:30 p.m. in the area of 198 S. Main St., near Country Farms, where a man was found unresponsive on the ground.

Police said the man was airlifted to Albany Medical Center to receive treatment for his injuries, and he is still at the hospital.

Capt. John Sira said today the man’s injuries were not self-inflicted. The investigation still is continuing, he said.

“He wasn’t shot and he wasn’t stabbed, but we are not sure how he sustained the injuries that he has and to what extent he was injured,” Sira said.
