Gloversville district grants three tenure

GLOVERSVILLE – The Gloversville Enlarged School District Board of Education approved tenure for three teachers Monday.

The district granted tenure for the following teachers, effective Sept. 1: Joshua Herod, a physical education teacher at Kingsborough Elementary School, Salvina Michel, a special education teacher at the middle school, and Jenelle Wilson, a math teacher at the middle school.

District officials said the teachers are required by law to have taught in the district for three years. However, if the teacher received tenure at another district, it only requires two years.
