GALWAY – The Galway Central School District recently announced seven candidates will appear on the ballot for a seat on the Board of Education on Election Day, May 21.
The candidates are:
- Stacey Morey
- Jay Anderson
- Melodye Eldeen
- Jerri Ernst
- ld (Eric) Fajans
- Lauralyn Sakala
- Cheryl Smith
There are three vacancies on the Board of Education. Two of the seats have four-year terms of office, and one has a three-year term of office. All seats are “at large,” a news release said, which means each nominee is eligible for every vacancy. The candidates with the most votes will get the four-year terms of office followed by the three-year term of office.
Polls will be open May 21 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the auditorium lobby of the Galway Central School District.
