FONDA – The hydrants will be flushed on Tuesday with a rain date set for May 21.
The Hickory Hill area will be affected at about noon.
Residents should plan their water needs accordingly. The water will be safe, a news release said, but flushing stirs up mineral deposits, so people should have bottled water during this time.
Although the effect should last just a few hours, village officials are unable to determine how long the discoloration will be seen, the release said.
