FORT PLAIN (AP) – State officials said two stretches of road and a bridge damaged during late June’s flooding in the Mohawk Valley are open again.
They say they were the last remaining closed after the heavy rains.
The Route 80 bridge connecting Fort Plain and Minden was scheduled to open Wednesday, along with parts of Route 51 and Route 71 in Herkimer County.
Work is expected to continue on all three until the end of August.
During the worst of the flooding, 26 roads and bridges were closed.
