JOHNSTOWN – HealthLink Littauer, the community health and wellness service of Nathan Littauer Hospital and Nursing Home, has announced it will offer a new program called “Home WHEEZE Home” on Thursday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Ruby & Quiri, 307 N. Comrie Ave.
“We have one of the highest rates of childhood asthma in the state,” Sue Cridland, Littauer’s director of community education, said in a news release. “Since allergies are one of the most common asthma triggers, come to this homelike setting and learn what dangers lurk in a child’s bedroom, about free or low-cost allergy solutions for the whole house, and get advice on managing asthma from Littauer clinical experts.”
This program is free and open to the public. There will be a supervised children’s movie with popcorn while parents attend workshops.
Attendees will be eligible to win a free Healthy Living package or HEPA vacuum cleaner.
To attend, call HealthLink Littauer at 736-1120.
