GLOVERSVILLE – The city Water Department on Tuesday mailed water and sewer bills to residents of District 2, which is north of East Fulton Street and east of North Main Street.
Payments may be made in person at the Water Department office or mailed to P.O. Box 1100, Gloversville NY 12078. To avoid a penalty, payments must be made by Oct. 4.
A 2 percent water-rate increase went into effect June 1, so the bill is prorated.
Customers who experience a major piping failure and would like to be considered for a bill adjustment must submit an application to the Water Department within 30 days of their billing date.
Applications for relief are subject to approval based on criteria set by the Board of Water Commissioners and the Gloversville Wastewater Treatment Facility.
Residents with questions can call the Water Department at 773-4520.
